These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of breakthroughgolfalliance.org and related online content provided by Breakthrough Golf Alliance (“BGA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

BGA is a nonprofit organization supporting promising young golfers by helping reduce financial barriers to competition, instruction, travel, equipment, and development. Website content is provided for general informational, educational, fundraising, and community-engagement purposes.

ACCEPTABLE USE

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with its operation; attempt unauthorized access; introduce malicious code; scrape or misuse personal information; impersonate another person; or use the website in a way that violates law or the rights of BGA, participants, donors, partners, or others.

DONATIONS AND PAYMENTS

Donations, sponsorships, auction purchases, and related payments may be processed through GolfStatus or another third-party provider. Your transaction is also subject to that provider’s terms, privacy policy, payment procedures, and refund rules. You are responsible for providing accurate payment and contact information.

Unless otherwise stated or required by law, charitable contributions are final. If you believe a transaction was made in error, contact us promptly and we will review the circumstances with the payment provider.

TAX INFORMATION AND DONOR ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Tax treatment depends on applicable law and your individual circumstances. BGA does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. The deductible portion of a payment may be limited when a donor receives goods, services, admission, recognition, or other benefits in return. Donors should retain receipts and consult a qualified adviser regarding deductibility. When required, BGA or its payment provider will provide an acknowledgment or a good-faith estimate of the value of benefits received.

SPONSORSHIPS AND BENEFITS

Sponsorship package descriptions are invitations to discuss or select available opportunities and do not create a binding partnership until payment is accepted and any required written terms are confirmed. Benefits, timing, availability, recognition, events, media placements, and activation details may be adjusted by mutual agreement or as reasonably necessary. Custom or in-kind partnerships may require a separate written agreement.

AUCTIONS, EVENTS, AND PROGRAMS

Participation in auctions, events, scholarships, or other programs may be governed by additional eligibility rules, deadlines, waivers, event terms, or provider policies. If those specific terms conflict with these Terms, the specific terms control for that activity.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise indicated, the website’s text, branding, graphics, photographs, videos, and other original content are owned by or licensed to BGA and are protected by applicable law. You may view and share public links for personal, informational, and charitable-support purposes. You may not reproduce, sell, alter, or commercially exploit content without permission from the rights holder.

ATHLETE STORIES AND IMAGES

Participant stories, names, and images are presented to explain BGA’s mission and programs. They may not be copied, republished, used for advertising, or used to contact or target a participant without written permission.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

Links to GolfStatus, social platforms, partner websites, and other third-party services are provided for convenience. BGA does not control and is not responsible for their content, security, availability, products, or practices. Use of a third-party service is at your discretion and subject to its own terms and policies.

NO GUARANTEES

BGA works to keep website information accurate and current, but content may contain errors or become outdated. Program selection, funding, awards, events, and sponsor opportunities depend on eligibility, available resources, and other circumstances. Nothing on the website guarantees funding, selection, participation, results, or any specific benefit.

DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted operation or error-free content.
